THE WILD JOHANN - 2021

"DER WILDE JOHANN" is a Johanniter that is spontaneously fermented in old wooden barrels with wild yeast. It is meant to be a homage to our great-grandfather Johann, who, as a visionary, was involved in the replanting of the Hochwart vineyards after the war.

Initially, aromas of fresh citrus fruits, gooseberries and fresh hay dominate the smell. These are followed by complex notes of brioche and yellow ripe fruit. In the mouth, the Johanniter is very mineral, underlined by a fresh acidity.

The Johanniter is a complex drinking pleasure, which still has great aging potential.
